Emus Beach Resort is a fancy Backpacker Resort, situated across the road from one of the beautiful beaches on the Capricorn Coast, that overlooks Great Keppel Island. It’s a great stop over between Fraser Island and Airlie Beach to relax, snorkel the Southern Great Barrier Reef, Bush walk in the National Parks to visit the turtles or just catch up on some washing and have a bit of down time between tours.
With the closest transport hub being Rockhampton, Emus Beach Resort offers a transfer service to the Resort at most times of the day and night. They have friendly staff that are happy to look after you while you’re here and help with ongoing travel booking and confirmations.

GETTING THERE
Directions by Car: Approx 40km’s from Rockhampton. Rockhampton is inland and Emu Park is on the beach. Follow the signs to Emu Park from Rockhampton. When you come over the hill into Emu Park, turn left at the roundabout onto Pattison Street as if following signs to Yeppoon . Emu’s is approx 1km on the left. Opposite the Emu Park Bowls Club. If coming from Yeppoon, we are on the coast road between Emu Park and Yeppoon. Opposite the Emu Park Bowls Club. Bus/Train: We can organise to pick you up from the bus and train station in Rockhampton. Please ring and book 2 days in advance for this service.
There is a charge of $10 each way, to cover petrol costs, unless you are staying 3 nights or more. Then the transfers are free of charge. Airport Pick Ups: Please call reception 48 hours prior to arrival, to arrange a pick up from Rockhampton Airport. The cost of the transfer will be $20pp each way. Alternatively, a local bus is $15 one way or a taxi is $150 one way.
