Your City visit need not be too expensive either, with centrally located hostels and a huge range of free activities available daily there’s always heaps to do on a budget too.

Brisbane’s is also home to a cluster of subtropical island and are incredibly just 25kms from Brisbane’s City. From Bribie Island in the north to the Southern Bay Islands including Moreton and Strodbroke Island you can indulge in some of the world’s best diving, get adventurous with some sand boarding, surfing, quad biking or take a leisurely stroll along the water’s edge.

THE ISLANDS


Moreton and Stradbroke Island, offer crystal clear water, jam packed adventure and picturesque sandy beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see. From June to November you can also see the mighty Humpback Whales as they migrate north but all year round Brisbane’s cluster of sandy islands offer a range of activities and cracking weather.

Just 1hr west of the CBD you’ll find yourself in Brisbane’s very own World Heritage Listed backyard. We recommend checking out the FREE shelf in your hostel 1st of course but if nothing takes your fancy pop your comfiest shoes on and get reading to shop until your drop, or at least until beer o’clock.
